The Big Picture is never acknowledged

even from the left. The Big Picture, staring us all in the face, bold and undeniable among the thousands of tidbits and dates and data, is that cheato lied and cheated to win the 2016 election. Hillary was robbed. We're not even supposed to think that, let alone say it.

In addition, he was only able to do it because voters in red states believe insane crap on the cover of a tabloid and have no critical thinking skills.

Sorry if I'm being politically incorrect. No, actually, I'm not sorry.

Just imagine how different our world would be if Gore had been allowed to "have" his win. It only proves that Republicans cheat, any way, any where, any how they possibly can.

It's not for nothing that Republicans haven't won the popular vote of the Presidency in decades. You want cheating? Find a way around the electoral college... that outdated institution... betraying the American people.

There are so many things that need to be changed in our government institutions. So much greed and graft and corruption that needs to be weeded out and replaced by institutions which actually serve us. But inertia is what propels us forward into the morass. It's easier to turn our heads than to do the hard work of firing those that need to be fired and remaking the departments into what they should be for us. We, the people, have not only been forgotten... we've been cast aside as anything more than a hindrance to them.

The truth is staring us in the face.
Trump just didn't cheat with the NE.
There was more, a lot more.

He didn't win by much, some votes in a few swing states.
All he needed was the FBI, and the media to help him along.

It is not about abortion. Most GOP men couldn't care less about abortion.
Their wives, girlfriends, daughters get them on demand.

It is about male supremacy and making women second class citizens.
It is about power and control.

They will kill as many women as it takes to get what they want.

The selfishness, entitlement, and overriding urge to control and oppress females are truly astonishing.

Patriarchal Christian institutions like the Catholic Church have been particularly egregious examples of organizations that push male supremacy above all else. The RCC has conducted a reign of terror against women for centuries, and those efforts continue unabated. [Why any woman would continue to go along with that bullshit and keep putting her butt in the pew and her dollar in the collection plate is beyond me, but that's another issue.] Most of the SCOTUS assholes who overturned Roe are Opus Die nutjobs. Baptists, Mormons, etc. also treat women like shit. Islam is another egregious women-despising-and-oppressing institution, but its influence on the U.S. is obviously much less than the Christian mythologies. All of these dumb Bronze/Iron Age fictions give the good roles exclusively to male characters (God, Jesus, Muhammad, etc.). Only supernatural beings that have a penis are said to have any real power or magical abilities.

My opinion of the male gender as a whole, as an abstract generality ... well, I won't even say it. I know it's "not all men." But it's a shitload of them.

Yes the rapes, assaults, murders of women are typically done by males.
And often in the name of religion if you look at the world wide attacks.

And men have held most of the power since humans came into existence.

Yes being born with a penis does seem to give all kinds of powers.

The complete discounting of the rights of US citizenry to a democracy is a pet peeve.
Collectively as voters we have ‘no standing’.
The GOP painted Gore as just being a whiner, and the media made it all about two personalities in a horse race.

Our role as citizens and voters had a life in the public imagination in the 1970s which has been systematically disempowered.
Our role as consumers has taken its place.

Tuesday

As Al Gore fought to have the uncounted Florida votes counted as Florida election law clearly required in 2000, the pro W media put its anti democracy view on full display. Never mind that several hundred thousand legally cast ballots located in the largest and most heavily democratic voting counties in Florida had not been counted and still sit uncounted in the Florida archives to this day. The pro W media made it very clear that they didn't care that these many thousands of pivotal votes hadn't been counted and that the GOP controlled SCOTUS had installed the wrong person in the White House. With W illegally installed in the White House, the big corporations that own the media were going to get their big tax cuts and make huge profits from all of the campaign ads that campaigns would be forced to fundraise for and run with no campaign finance reforms and that's exactly what's happened. Now our country teeters on the verge of a dictatorship because of it.

It is so painful to me to have to remind people that in any other civilized country, Hillary Rodham Clinton would have been our 45th President. She won the election. Period.

Our loss had nothing to do with her emails, her unlikeability, or even the country's unwillingness to elect a woman president. She still got three million more votes. She won the election. Period.

The Electoral College, that vestige of slavery, is what foisted 💩 on us, and could do so again. If I could wave a magic wand for 25 seconds, I would abolish the EC. If Biden would expand the SCOTUS, I would wish for a lawsuit to declare the EC unconstitutional for depriving citizens of the right to vote.

Neither of those things is going to happen, so all we can do is get our asses out and vote as if our lives, our children's and grandchildren's and loved ones' lives depend on it. They do.

But damn it all to hell, Hillary won the election. Period. AND I'M STILL WITH HER.
