"Inexplicably, this is the guy they picked."

Shouldn't Rachel's last line be a campaign slogan? Isn't that the best line, the best description? This clip is actually from the Tammy Baldwin campaign, because she wanted folks like you and me to see it.

"Inexplicably, this is the person they picked."

Should be on t-shirts somewhere. Won't find it on any maga shirt. Too many syllables to be fashionable.

The Republican party has chosen a 2024 campaign strategy of self-funders and folks otherwise already on television. Inexplicably, this is the person we picked. It's also the person they can afford. With (legal-fee sucking) TSF at the top of the ticket, Hovde is exactly the sort of candidate the pukes are selling this year. Instead of a thriving market of candidates, they're offering something more like a "farmer's market" of candidates: you're limited to folks who can afford to take Thursday mornings off.

No offense to fm folks (who I hope keep showing up on Thursdays).

I sit back and marvel at it myself.

As you say, too many syllables. I’m trying to think how to do it. I have an idea and later may post a sketch.

This could be said about a presidential contest or a dog catcher's race. These are their face cards. Bet.

... one hell of a candidate ... of a rich guy wanting to buy a Senate seat.

It's time to send Tammy another donation.

But seeing this on video, now it all makes sense.

I guess if their candidate had some money, he could've made it look professional and maybe even rehearsed.

He does look like he is made for TV. But he'd probably be better doing the evening news or maybe the weather. Boy, that pledge of allegiance is a tough one.
