Maybe If The Media Just Ignored Palin......
she would fade into oblivion.

But as long as they keep talking about her, quoting her tweets, televising her full speeches - they are filling her sails with wind that will keep her tacking on to 2012.

If we wind up with her as a president or even a presidential candidate - I blame the media.

The media loves her story. Its like a movie or something - not so bright Alaskan hick with nice body and good looking becomes vice presidential pick. Screenplay made for Hollywood.

14. I bet when they talk among themselves its a
different story. Since you are a woman they wouldn't talk openly about if Palin is hot in front of you most likely.

In the locker room I bet they are singing a different tune about Palin!

18. Random man here and sorry, but, you're wrong.
Some men perhaps, but not as many of us as you think would be attracted to Palin. While there are plenty of men who are attracted to an airhead (many of us are not as financially or intellectually judgmental as women are) most of us, however, are not attracted to a woman who thinks she's all that and Palin is an egotistical maniac. Add to that fact what she bases her ego on is delusional and you get a woman who's no where near as attractive as you think. To walk with her in public or worse have her with you at a family get together would be embarrassing - an airhead with a big mouth trying to act intelligent. Palin is a less attractive real life Kelly Bundy. Even with most men who only think visually it would be a one night stand or a very short relationship.

eom.

Peace,
Xicano

You've managed to debase men and women all in one. I don't see that happen much on DU - big kudos to you and your locker room mentality.

Barrack Obama's story the last 2-3 years? Young dynamic man rising to assume the power of the presidency.

Why would they do that?

13. The media is owned by Republicons
Consolidated to the point that no one but the pukes get air time unless you are in a major metropolitan area.

Their mission is to get a Republican president into office in 2012. Sarah Palin is a hottie and the people who vote for her are too fucking stupid to care that she is an idiot.

The great drama is on top of the fact that the Republican media is just doing what it has been told.

There are no journalists anymore.

Someone important wants the republican party to be marginalized. Palin is being promoted by CorpAmerica, not because they think she has a chance of winning (if she did it would be a big bonus for them), but because as long as the republican party is the party of crazy, the party of conservatives will be the Democratic Party. The left has already seen it happen. Who is currently more important to the Democratic Party? The left or the Conserva-Dems? If you need a clue, one word RAHMBO.
