Dem lawmaker on Trump button tweet: Any first grader knows aggressive bragging is a sign of weakness

Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.) slammed President Trump's rhetoric toward North Korea on Wednesday, comparing Trump to a first grader on a playground.

“I guess the president regards this as a show of strength,” Himes told CNN's Anderson Cooper on Tuesday.

“But as everybody who’s ever been in a, you know, first-grade playground recognizes, it’s usually the person who’s most aggressively pounding their chest that is in fact the weak one on the playground," he continued.

Himes' comments come after the president tweeted on Tuesday that the nuclear button on his desk was "much bigger" and "more powerful" than that of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's nuclear button.
