Something is rotten in the United States Congress, both houses, BUT ESPECIALLY THE HOUSE, and it smells to high heaven. Devin Nunes* little circlejerks seem to indicate something is amiss.

...they are motivated by FEAR, fear that their own dealings with Russia and it's dark money might be snatched from their secret places and put on display for all the world to see.

We have a POTUS that is PROFOUNDLY unqualified and ill-equipped to for the position, AND THEY KNOW THIS.

... 3rd party companies and funnel said money through PACs and Ryan et al knew of it.

We haven't heard from Bush's brain here lately and his reaction in 2012 still sticks in my mind when it comes to stealing elections

I was explaining to my daughter and her boyfriend that the election was over at that point. President Obama would be the winner.

It all came together so beautifully that night. KKKarl's surprise performance was icing on the cake.

I wasn't connecting Rove to Bush for some reason. That all seems like a lifetime ago.

GOP is flailing to hide their criminality. They got stuck with Trump. Being evil and treasonous is not a problem for them. But trump is stupid and lazy. trump may help save our democracy with his stupidity and aversion to work. Go dumbass go!

on working Americans to the benefit of the wealthy would be similar or same. War is profitable and would still be a possibility. Right-wing, unqualified judges would still be appointed. Citizens United would still allow Russian financing of GOP. Voter suppression and dishonest elections would continue. GOP was doing all of this before trump. Other republicans would have been better at concealing their intent than trump has been. I do not believe other republicans would have revealed as much to Lester Holt, for instance.

In short, trump is an aberration from other republicans, not because of his dishonesty, but because he is too stupid to conceal as well as other GOP presidents have.

So, I wonder in a way.. ready for this? Is it possible that trump being elected may end up being better in the long run if ONLY because it may be letting the truth out of the bag for all( well, maybe not all) to see..?

Democracy in America is being attacked in an insidious and fundamental way. Bush probably stole an election. Nixon colluded with South Vietnam to win an election. Reagan delayed a possible release of the hostages in Iran to win an election. Just mentioning a few presidential election episodes. I am not being bombastic when I say GOP is a criminal organization.

Again, not meaning to be bombastic, democracy is in peril. If we survive this, we will be stronger. That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Right?

But will democracy survive this? trump's actions put many lives at risk. Puerto Rico, the poor, the infirmed. Lives have already been lost. Whether the nation will survive is, I believe, yet to be determined.

They don’t seem to be able to see past their own greed and have grown complacent in their nefarious comfort. But Putin’s goal has always been to destroy Democracy so merely corrupting members of Congress is not enough. I’m of the opinion he wants to see us reduced to a Third World Country in every way, with rampant poverty for millions and wealth for the few who do what he wants, which is to keep the money only for themselves.

Putin wants to see us so destroyed that it would take hundreds of years to recover.

Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine.....

As far as we know, every cent of "dark money" that has entered the political system since Citizens United comes from Russia.

They can't prove it doesn't without getting rid of the concept of dark money all together.

I stand behind that statement until they prove otherwise.
