I watched and listened with great interest that if such a thing takes place, it will not be just amending the Constitution to balance the Federal budget on the backs of the Poor, Seniors, the sick, those yet to be born, but how will this affect the Constitution as a whole.

For example....
1st Amendment......... regarding the Free Press, the right to assemble, the right to protest our Government, freedom of and FROM Government interference of Religion and vice-versa.

17th Amendment.....Rather than State Legislators picking Senators, the people select. THAT will be changed given the current landscape of Republicans holding Governorships and Legislatures. States are not gerrymandered when it comes to electing Senators. Think about that.

4th Amendment.....regarding lawful search and seizures. That warrants must be issued in order to arrest someone on the grounds of Anti-Government activities. .

14th Amendment....regarding Equal protections under the law when it comes to Civil Rights.

The ENTIRE US. Constitution will be under review and threat of being rewritten to reflect that of a third world country where no one has rights. Be very afraid.

and Congressional Republicans surrounding him like Kim Jung Un's Generals do him, anything is possible. This country is under serious threat of falling and Trump will do all that he can to make that happen.

I believe the US is already broken beyond repair without modifying the Constitution. Our elected officials have ignored their Constitutional responsibilities for far too long without consequence, with the complicity of the MSM.

Process for withdrawal from the union of states.

We will need one if they fill the CC with RW garbage.

Maybe this is Putin's goal.

Yes, the south would break away.
And perhaps California.

A Constitutional Convention can only propose amendments, not ratify them. The ratification process remains as outlined in the Constitution.

To prevent changes, or even proposing Amendments to the Constitution, we must make sure States have Democrats at the helm in Governorships and Legislatures to reduce the 3/4 of states needed to ratify an Amendment to the Constitution.

I know how the process works. But at the moment, we have a President who has no understanding or respect for the Constitutional Republic that we are, the separations of power, and Republicans who will do anything to appease him, kiss his ass publicly, and bow their heads in his presence.

This is the end game for the "vast RW conspiracy" to dismantle current constitutional protections for "undesirables" and convert us into a Christian Dominionist hell-hole.

A good blue wave this November will put the kibosh on it. It is good to see how many Dem candidates are stepping up at all levels of government. Hell, with 30 or 40 more women in Congress, we could revive interest in ERA.
