Juanita Jean-Executive (Wink, Wink) Time

I have recently had an opportunity to learn that all the good daytime teevee is on in the afternoon – American Pickers, Alton Brown, Ancient Aliens, Aerial America, and, Honey, that’s just the A’s. So, if he’s watching from 9:00 – 11:00, he’s only seeing those stinkin’ Good Morning shows. Which suck.

It’s probably as bad as you think it might be:

On Tuesday, Trump has his first meeting of the day with Chief of Staff John Kelly at11am. He then has “Executive Time” for an hour followed by an hour lunch in the private dining room. Then it’s another 1 hour 15 minutes of “Executive Time” followed by a 45 minute meeting with National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster. Then another 15 minutes of “Executive Time” before Trump takes his last meeting of the day — a 3:45pm meeting with the head of Presidential Personnel Johnny DeStefano — before ending his official day at 4:15pm.

Hell, Honey, I’m retired and I have a busier schedule than that.

On the other hand, fixing that hair of his has got to take a whole mess of time.

No telling who is actually handling the country's business. The only thing we know for sure is that it isn't Trump. So much for having an election.

I counted 3.5 hrs of nap/play time out of a 5 hr 15 min day.

“The schedule says Trump has ‘Executive Time’ in the Oval Office every day from 8am to 11am,” Swan writes, “but the reality is he spends that time in his residence, watching TV, making phone calls and tweeting.” Executive time later in the day is often spent watching TV in the dining room adjacent to the Oval Office.

Swan walks through the private schedule for one Tuesday.

8 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Executive time
11 a.m.: Meeting with Chief of Staff
11:30 a.m.: Executive time
12:30 p.m.: Lunch
1:30 p.m.: Executive time
2:45 p.m.: Meeting with National Security Adviser
3:30 p.m.: Executive time
3:45 p.m.: Meeting with head of presidential personnel
4:15 p.m.: End of day

That’s 5½ hours of executive time over the course of an 8¼-hour workday.
