It's official, Roseanne is a total moron.

Roseanne Barr: Her TV character’s a Trump fan, as should be

PASADENA, Calif. (AP) — Roseanne Barr said her character’s support for President Donald Trump in the revived sitcom “Roseanne” is a reflection of her own views and also true to the show’s roots.

The sitcom brings the Conner family and the life of the country up to date when it debuts March 27 on ABC.

“I’ve always attempted to portray a realistic portrait of the American people and of working class people. And in fact it was working class people who elected Trump,” Barr said Monday.

Returning TV shows with the original cast and premise years later is a horrible idea...who wants to see "Cheers" comeback and Norm and Cliff visiting Sam in the hospital for his liver transplant? The fact that we seem to be bereft of new ideas and new artistic expressions is depressing as well...

On the other hand, they had not single black person in their wider social circle.

His support was white racist, across economic lines. Measures of the prevalence of “racial resentment” predict his vote, nothing else much matters.

Jews were considered too dumb to make it here. The KKK hated catholics too. No Irish signs. Blacks only water fountains. On and on. It's a very old political story. Brexit was anti immigrant bias.

We whites, in many cases, view the blacks and other minorities as getting in front of us in the line for government benefits when of course government rules screw them in many cases. Bill Clinton praised those who follow the rules to get such white voters. People view immigrants as prone to crime when of course the opposite is true.George Wallace and Donald Trump know what voters want.

It is a miracle we have been able to fight those views off as well as we have.

Thank God for LBJ seeing things as they really are, understanding that voting was the only hope. And thank God he cared, thank God he knew minorities are good decent people too. LBJ was so smart it's scary.
