But I found my reading style to be part of the problem. I tend to speed read with either the TV or radio on in the background. This doc needs to be read slowly, without distractions.

Plus congressional hearings are really repetitive and boring most of the time. It's a yawner.

I'm hoping someone extracts the important statements from it for easier comprehension.

Some of the "interpreted" reviews are pretty hard to follow if one wants to understand EVERY word (and I have followed intently the findings and suppositions the past year by multiple respected individuals, like Laurence Tribe, Seth Abramson, Malcom Nance, Matthew Miller, Benjamin Wittes, and others.

But the key points are NOT hard to understand. The summary information NEEDS to get out there. I have to hand it to Joe S and Mika. They did a good job of that this morning.

Until this can be reduced to that level, I don't think it will have much impact. I also think that's too bad.

Frankly, I don't have time to wade through that transcript. I have work I have to get done. The same is true for most people, I'm sure.

We need some headlines out of this, followed by specific information on why this is important.

there's no way to make it dramatic. I've watched a few such hearings and they're really repetitive snore-fests.

It needs to be digested and exposed in meaningful chunks. Most of it is the same thing, said over and over again. Worse, it's a complex topic that isn't well-explained within the transcript.

We need someone who is very, very good to drill down to just the important information and present it with enough background to make it comprehensible to the average person.

I'm not even sure that's possible.

I know I didn't. In fact, I don't know anyone who did. I watched the high points. I read analysis of those high points. Most of it, in fact, was a snore fest.

It's as easy to understand as the bogus charges raised by Nunes and ilk.

Simpson makes a very compelling and believable witness.

This is a marathon, not a sprint. The release of the hearing transcript inserts an important cog in the prosecution and the public debate.

It needs to be put into a Reader's Digest comic strip format to keep their attention and slow the pace of reading.

I don't think their mouths can keep up when reading just straight text.
