I think....
(Clive Owen)

(9,291 posts)Great work, you should work for a Hollywood agency. Michael Shannon is kickass spooky.

(3,592 posts)And there's a bit of a resemblance even if Shannon is 30 years younger than Mueller.

The movie needs to be made as SOON as possible. I hope they identify those who died in the attempt to disclose Trump and his treason. Unfortunately the final chapter has not come to pass.

(5,611 posts)they often cast younger (and presumably they would show some of Steeles past work for MI6). Hence my choice of Matthew Goode, who was born in 1978.

(5,611 posts)Like OP, I love Clive Owen, but Im not sure this would be the role for him (although he has played MI6 types before). I dont like Dan Stevens at all (didnt like him in Downton Abbey and even less since he left his self-consciousness on camera really annoys me).
I think Id vote for Matthew Goode, who is a sensational actor and has the handsome look and debonair swagger appropriate for the Steele role. Goode has turned in some outstanding performances (opposite Colin Firth in A Single Man for just one example I love Firth too but hes too old for this role even though hes closer to Steeles real age. Goode is an ideal candidate). IMHO of course.
He looks pretty damn good in photos but even better while moving on film:
