Trump alleges that the FBI agent Mueller ousted committed 'treason' by sending anti-Trump texts

Last edited Thu Jan 11, 2018, 10:07 PM - Edit history (1)

President Donald Trump said during an interview with The Wall Street Journal on Thursday that Peter Strzok, the FBI counterintelligence agent who was ousted from special counsel Robert Mueller's team last July, committed treason.

"A man is tweeting to his lover that if [former Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton] loses, we'll essentially do the insurance policy," Trump said. "We'll go to phase two and we'll get this guy out of office."

"This is the FBI we're talking about — that is treason," he continued. "That is a treasonous act. What he tweeted to his lover is a treasonous act."

The Washington Post reported in December that while Strzok was working on the FBI's investigation into Clinton's use of a private email server to conduct government business, he exchanged texts expressing anti-Trump sentiment with an FBI lawyer, Lisa Page, with whom The Post said he was engaging in an extramarital affair. At the time, Page worked for Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.

Shitholeo doesn't seem to get that treason is committed against a country not an individual. We kicked royalty out 242 years ago.

It is now treason to say bad things about Trump?

I';m sure he really believes that. But it's fascism. Plain and simple.

As opposed to, you know, acting as private citizen, campaigning for Dems to take back the Congress and eventually impeach you ... on account of he already knew you're a fucking criminal?

The FBI cannot remove a President from power, anyways ... ever. And any higher-level FBI agent is well aware of that. They'd also be well aware that finding even a SINGLE other person at the FBI willing to CONSPIRE to 'bring down' a Sitting POTUS through some nefarious and phony investigation (one would logical assume 'evidence' would have to be fabricated, agents would have to lie under oath which could end their careers, etc) ... would be a stretch, AND carry considerable risk to his own career.

Also, 'treason' is providing direct aid to an enemy you're at war against.

I suppose you could argue he was 'disloyal' to YOU ... someone who he did not know ... of course, he said what he said BEFORE you were even CiC, you were just a candidate then.

WAAAAAY far from 'treason'.
