That's just a big fat guess, on my part. He may also have been the source of the original 'leak'.

Admittedly, I would have been THRILLED if he had walked out of the meeting and immediately reported what was said but that's just not realistic.

Yes that is realistic. Trump is not God, he is the president and Durbin is a Senator. Durbin certainly had the power and capability to speak in the moment. If Trump said the state of Illinois or Durbins hometown was a shithole, to his face multiple times, I seriously doubt Durbin would just carry on as if nothing was said.

that this isn't the first time the racist dotard has made profanity-laced racist comments in front of members of congress and other non-WH personnel.

We can hope that from now on those in attendance will "leak" if not outright report the next time dump unloads a vile rant.

And, I agree that it would be best if dump had been called on it from the start, but better late than never.

Durbin just confirmed once it was out. Not that what he did wasn't commendable.
