If the false alarm in Hawaii was caused by "pushing the wrong button"....

What did the right button do?

Was a nearby button used for turning on the lights or ordering a pizza? Was there a button next to it labeled "Do not send a nuclear alert" and the worker got confused?

So many questions, but I want a picture of those damn buttons.

From what I understand, the other button involved a test of the same system. BzaDem Jan 2018 #1

When the employee pressed the non-test button, there was a confirmation dialog, and the employee continued anyway.

Of the '71 screw-up of the emergency broadcast system test. The "button," then, was a tape. One was the actual alert, the other was the weekly test. The hapless soul loaded the wrong tape. Here, there were two "buttons," likely on screen hot spots-one for the test, one for the actual emergency.
