You don't have to be a member of the House to be appointed speaker. When the Dems retake the House and Senate, they should:
(a) appoint Hilary as Speaker
(b) impeach and remove both Trump and Pence for High Crimes against the US.
(c) then lo and behold, HRC becomes president.

(54,256 posts)The Constitution does not require the Speaker to be an elected member of the House of Representatives, although every Speaker thus far has been.[3] The Speaker is second in the United States presidential line of succession, after the Vice President and ahead of the President pro tempore of the U.S. Senate.[

(6,709 posts)You would need 2/3 of the Senate, and there are not enough seats available for "flipping" in the coming election. You know pukes won't vote to convict.

(11,124 posts)It would give us the leader the country really voted for. It would enhance our standing in the international realm. It would lead the country toward effective government. It would let our country join the civilized world in actually recognizing that women can be leaders. It would do a thousand good things.
But the best it that it would really make Hannity's head explode and cause distress to the snowflake deplorables.
(Oh, yes. Hillary could appoint Barack as Secretary of State.)

(I'll ignore the idiotic proposal to impeach Trump and Pence).
