General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI yelled BATMAN BATMAN BATMAN at my Alexa...
and nothing happened. Nothing.
I then pretended I was going to order a batman toy over Alexa. I had to go through the "OK Alexa tell me about Batman Toys." It was not very easy as there are probably hundreds of different one. I found one at random and tried to order it and it wouldn't let me.
So no, Sanders Fuckabee was lying again.

(58,724 posts)And then when Alexa asked for confirmation, the kid said yes.
Seems not appropriate for her to complain about Amazon via the official Press Secretary account - especially given Trump's apparent animus towards the company.

(58,724 posts)You think the whole thing was just entirely fabricated? There was no toy ordered via the device because of something the kid said or did? Seems a weird thing to just make up out of the blue for no reason.

(14,732 posts)It's just too easy to get points by ridiculing the company of one of his (multitudinous) 'enemies' on a national stage like a presser.

(56,829 posts)but, I'm guessing that Trump likely told her to bring it up.
This really isn't an issue that the president should be concerned with, though, I think
oberliner
(58,724 posts)I wonder if Trump did put her up to it. Or if she just tweeted it because she knew it would please the boss to insult Amazon.
NewJeffCT
(56,829 posts)that is very likely as well - she did it because she knows criticizing Amazon would play well with her boss.

(5,009 posts)But the cool thing is that her Amazon account has a clip she can play of what Amazon heard. I've done that a couple time when my wife adds something to the list, Alexa mishears it, and I have no idea what she meant. I can hear a recording of what my wife said. Sanders should have that for her daughter's order.
