I was referring to them, not homeschooling generally. A friend of mine homeschools her kids and they are way ahead of a lot of public school kids - but they aren't memorizing Bible verses and running around dressed like the Duggard girls.

She was a teacher herself. The class time was just class time. She would not even answer the phone. Her son was younger than my daughter and FAR advanced even though I had thought she was smart. That boy got constant 1 to 1.

All the other home schoolers are nuts. One group of sisters had no concept of simple adding numbers. They did math lessons by counting eggs as they gathered them and crap like that. My son liked one of them and was "talking to" her till he found out she didn't believe in evolution and the whole family laughed when he said he did. He said he wasn't wasting time with someone that didn't believe in science, lol. I was NOT disappointed.

There are so very few qualified individuals occupying positions at all levels of this administration. The crap show is completely baked in.

And you are right, why would someone who isn't running for office again give a damn about their poll numbers. The reason he is speaking the truth is because he has nothing to lose. He can finally say what he thinks.
