Seriously, though; if federal land is "closed" because of the shutdown, furloughed employees aren't going to have time to do much more than put up a temporary barricade with a closed sign on it. I think any group would be quite capable of moving the barricade or walking around it, peaceably assemble, and petition the government for redress of their grievances.

Something tells me that somehow, money will be available to pay SOMEBODY for hitting protesters with Billy Clubs and tear gas..
