Much worse than what we asked for. A much shorter reauthirization if CHIP. So I think it’s a stretch to say it’s the same. It seems like Trump says yes to whatever people suggest and now they’re all spinning in circles.

Now Mitch is saying Trump won’t sign anything till gov opens again... and somwhow rhats Dems Problem?!? What? That’s Trump acting crazy.

As far as turtle saying trump won't sign anything until the gov. reopens, that sounds like grandstanding as the repugs are going to be taking major heat when gov. checks stop coming and gov. offices and other facilities close.

DACA deal, and reneged on that promise the next day, most likely at the insistence of his right wing advisors.

Ryan then included a plan with CHIP funding, but no DACA. The CHIP funding should have been PART of the tax plan, but the republicans lied on that one also.

So the Democrats have been misled and lied to twice, and are essentially demanding the republicans to hold to what they assured them they would, and demand that BOTH CHIPS and DACA be part of the vote to prevent the government shutdown.

The Democrats have been burnt too many times by the republican lies, and they are NOT accepting their assurances this time.

McConnell gave assurance to Susan Collins on healthcare if she voted for the tax cuts. Those assurances were not followed through, and whether they will be or not is very questionable.

We are not dealing with an honest negotiating partner

At least as I understood some of what was said last night when House passed it; there is some bullshit in there about unallocating funds and shuffling money around to further fuck with Obamacare. They couldn’t add the CHIP reauthorization without wanting to score some more shithead points elsewhere.

A simple rule to live by, if McTurtle says it, it’s probably a lie
