They deliberately held up funding SCHIP so they could attach it to a CR as a bribe. They could have passed SCHIP at any time in the last 4 months... but they help it out just so they could do this with children's lives... think about that for a moment. They are literally acting like terrorists... we have a few million children hostage... thousands of whom will die without their medication or health care, unless you do what we want these children will DIE.

And what do they want? They want to deport everyone here who is here undocumented AND they want to reduce any "undesirables" (brown or black people) who immigrate LEGALLY.

And their motivation is that they fear of losing a "white-dominated America"... and instead of reaching out to minorities (remember that GOP report about the 2008 election... and how they decided to NOT follow the recommendations in that report but rather go full racist in an effort to unite the right with the KKK.

Btw, our house whip, Steny Hoyer, tried to get a vote on a 3-day continuing resolution to end the shutdown and reach agreement on a broader spending package, like not just CHIP and DACA, important as those are, but also such things as funding disaster relief to Puerto Rico and rural clinics across America (but mostly red states) that will be shutting down without more money allocated to them.

McConnell wants a CR for not 3 days but 3 weeks to give him time to try, try again to screw the nation over.
