Even if they release the memo, why should anyone believe its real?

Given the liars and crooks involved, their proven track records, and what’s at stake for them, why would anyone trust it to be real? You’d think if the had such damning evidence they’d just get it out there. The cynic in me figures they just need more time to make it look as authentic as possible and get the other crooks in line.

Maybe that will become clear if the memo is released. Just because Nunes's "research" says something, well, most people will get that he's not reliable, and that the 'info' he's presenting is bogus and comes from the Trumpers, so is like triply unreliable.

Here's a link to the story https://www.politico.com/story/2018/01/18/republican-authorizes-classified-report-fbi-348024

Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee have authorized their colleagues to access a highly classified report that they say details their concerns with the conduct of top FBI and Justice Department officials, as well as the agencies’ handling of a controversial surveillance program.

“We have concerns — FISA concerns — that all members of the body should know,” said Rep. Mike Conaway (R-Texas), a member of the committee, referring to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. Some of President Donald Trump’s allies in the House have argued that the program was inappropriately used to surveil a foreign policy aide to the Trump campaign.

Democrats derided the release of the report as part of an attempt to discredit senior leaders of the agencies leading investigations into President Donald Trump’s ties to Russia and whether any of his associates aided Russia’s attempt to influence the 2016 election.

5. The so-called "Smoking Gun Illegally Obtained FISA Warrants on Trump by Obama" Memo?

I just woke up and am assuming that is what is being referred to because in the last 24 hours, I have had a neighbor and several Republicans I know talking about this in response to me discussing with them the Fusion GPS founder' Glenn Simpson's testimony that was released by both Feinstein from the Senate Judiciary and also the House testimony.

I actually started laughing so hard when they brought this up and to my poor neighbor, started asking lots of questions that he couldn't answer except for to say "I believe there are crooks on both sides".... I just told him that its like Russian Disinformation and he needs to learn to sift through the propaganda and not be fooled.
