At Least Chip Got Funded/Takes It Off The Hostage List. Next Fight Will Be Over Immigration.

Getting CHIP was a really important step. Getting CHIP was not abandoning DACA. I do not thing a long shut down while he GOP framed it the way they did would help the Democrats in the longer run. Now we will see if McTurtle keeps his word. I do believe that the Democrats are in a better position on another shut down.

The problem is the media is actually too willing to give the GOP a pass on many issues.

Now the debate over the next few weeks will be just on immigration. Meanwhile, there are 10 Republicans in the Senate willing to compromise and there is wedge between Trump and his enablers - Miller and Kelly.
