The Friday bill was ... NOT ... a clean of a bill on CHIP like Schumer got yesterday and its a RWTP to continue to say it was included in the Friday Bill that tied it to the wall without mentioning the wall funding at all !!
THE KGOP KILLED FRIDAYS BILL !!
https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2018/01/trump-shutdown-daca-democrats-immigration/550565/
The Wall Street Journal reported on Jan. 5 that Trump was seeking $18 billion over ten years to fund expansions to the wall on the Mexican border. Per The Washington Post, Trump is digging in his heels to make the border wall funding part of the spending bill.
If someone says CHIP was in the Friday bill please remind them of the RWTP rules on DU because that's just spread bull crap!!!
Here's the KGOP Website spreading this FALSE MEME .. which NEVER MENTIONS TRUMPS ... INSISTENCE... on His Wall being included in the Friday bill as The Atlantic states
https://www.gop.gov/democrats-are-blocking-chip-funding/
Please help stop the spread of the "Friday Bill" winger meme
EDIT: The Bill did not "include" wall funding in wording, a technicality in diction that to me makes no difference sense Trump insisted on it or he would not sign the bill without wall funding therefor the KGOP scrapped the bill on Friday not dems !!

(90,371 posts)... Trump was going to ditch whatever was passed unless it had wall funding.
Why mention Fridays bill if the KGOP rejected it no matter what?

(90,371 posts)Conservatives were not always on board For most of the week, conservative House members were still a major question mark.
Meadows, a North Carolina Republican, told reporters Wednesday he didn't believe GOP leaders had the votes to pass it because of the internal divisions. He didn't rule out supporting it, saying he spoke to Trump and met with the chief deputy whip, Rep. Patrick McHenry, a fellow GOP North Carolinian.

The RWTP is Dems wasted time and could've passed the Friday bill and that's false on its face

(90,371 posts)... trying to spread false news with the help of some here on DU that the Friday Bill was clean ... enough ... and CHIP could've passed then but would've included funding for Red Don's wall and dems didn't want that and neither did a whole bunch of republicans so McTurtle killed it.

(10,115 posts)there is always wall building going on because there already is large parts of an existing border wall. If trump is now trying to get money for work to existing wall building, I want to see when he declares victory for his "big, beautiful wall" that will actually be no change in policy.
