So I'm out to lunch and this car goes past with three big flags on it; one on each fender, and one above the side window. I didn't know if I was supposed to salute it or not. After he passed, I saw he also had a flag bumper sticker. I guess he was an American.
It's not unusual to see a car with a flag on it. Occasionally, you might see a car with two flags. But three?
I've always thought of patriotism as a quiet, personal kind of thing. And I've never understood people that had the need to make a public display of their patriotism.
I know nothing about this guy but the kind of car he was driving and the flags. But I'd be willing to bet fifty bucks that he voted for Trump. Maybe I'm wrong. Nonetheless ...

I bet this dude driving around with the three flags couldn't tell you who his representatives are or name the three branches of government.

(6,377 posts)I recently turned 25 and realized I don't own an American flag yet. I could buy one, but I decided I'm going to wait until the night a Democrat wins back the White House, or Trump steps down due to impending impeachment. Whichever comes first.
