Holy Land Experience has announced their mandatory free day for 2018, Orlando's annual reminder that a local theme park doesn't have to pay property taxes because of a religious loophole.

Since 2006, the amusement park has skipped out of paying at least $2.2 million in property taxes,
but the Bible-themed attraction will generously waive their $50 admission and parking fees for one day this Thursday, Jan. 25.

Last year, the Holy Land Experience graciously gave the Orlando public two free days, which they've been known to do on occasion.

The Christian theme park, which is owned by the Trinity Broadcasting Network (or TBN), is required by law to have at least one free day every year after former Florida governor Jeb Bush signed a law in 2006 that allowed the park to qualify as tax-exempt because they display biblical images.

Of an LGBTQ party!!!!

Scientologist don’t pay property taxes in Clearwater. All we get is a cool Christmas display they put on for free each year. The word Scientology isn’t mentioned anywhere.

And adults treated like indentured servents (when paid their 50 bucks a month) or slaves when their "stats" are low and as such won't be paid at all.

Of course most of the sea org members now come from Asia and Eastern Europe. Foreign workers who are promised jobs and a future. When they arrive (either on their own or with help) their papers are confiscated upon arrival. Nice huh?

Construct the Christmas display last year. She comes in every year and pays a lot of money to take classes. She is worth millions.

The big trend in Clearwater with them over the last decade has been to bring in undocumented persons from south of the border. The “Church” owns over a thousand units on Keene Road and houses them their. Absolute slave labor with their names off the books. Many from Eastern Europe they are bringing in have very deep pockets.

I always laugh when I drive by it. It's ridiculous that they don't pay taxes.

Try to avoid I4 if we can help it. Could be that I've seen it and just blocked it out, like I do Fox News/RW media.

I came down the I4 from Jacksonville about a year and a half go after working with a physicians practice. I had the weekend off so I decided to head down to visit Disney for Saturday and Sunday. That is how I saw it. It was nice being down there by myself without family. Family is always nice but I was able to walk around without having to worry about anyone. It was just after labor day so the weather was still hot but all the kids were back in school. I was surprised at the crowds. Lots of Europeans.

If we form enough such churches we may force the GOP to start taxing them all.

At least join Freedom From Religion.
