Poll: Most voters say Trump is not a good role model for children

A large majority of American voters say they don’t believe President Trump is a good role model for children, a poll released Thursday showed.

A Quinnipiac Poll found 67 percent of voters believe Trump is not a good role model, compared to 29 percent who say he is. In total, 90 percent of voters say it’s important for the president to be a good role model.

Republicans are the only group that believes Trump sets a good example, the poll found, with 72 percent saying he is a good role model for kids. Twenty-seven percent of voters say they are proud to have Trump as president, while 53 percent say they are embarrassed, the poll found.

The poll also found most Americans find Trump is not honest, does not have good leadership skills and does not share their values.
