(92,526 posts)2016 when some self-identified progressives decided not to vote for the Democratic nominee because the Supreme Court, DACA, the environment, Civil Rights, Workers Rights, Women's rights, Gay and transgender rights, etc. etc. etc. were just not that important to them at the time

(26,045 posts)...plus, as I understand it, if you're deported for being here illegally (as all Dreamers will be), you get a mark on your record banning you from entering the U.S. legally for the rest of your life.
In addition, even if that were overcome, you're talking about people who have been ripped away from their communities with only the clothes on their back, and dumped unceremoniously in the middle of the night in places like Juarez or Tijuana (in a country most of them have never known). If, some time down the road, we were able to reverse the cancellation of DACA, how many of them would be in a condition to be able to return? How many of them might not even be alive anymore?
