I want to know what Dems are going to do for people. I don’t care about their hair or make up or clothes or lip balm...

but in the clips it did seem like he was slurring his words. That could be why he was talking so slowly, to maintain control.

He took sips from his water from time to time. I don’t recall that he took it in massive gulps. He looked and sounded at times like his mouth was as dry as sawdust. He enunciated some words in an exaggerated way while slurring past others. Maybe he had rehearsed some words that he thought he might trip over? I understand he did practice the speech several times. Seeing as how it was his first SOTU speech, he probably wanted to impress. I won’t tell him the impression that I and many others had of him. 🤭
