Former Bernie Sanders surrogate and occasional CNN guest Jonathan Tasini was forced to delete a tweet in which he thanked God the train carrying GOP lawmakers was derailed in an accident that resulted in at least one death.
Tasinis original tweet on todays Albemarle County, Virginia wreck which received hundreds of replies slamming him for his opinion before he took it down read, Wow, btwn train full of Goopers hitting truck and this, God is working hard today to clean up the stink. Thank her. #TreyGowdy #goptrainwreck.

(102,562 posts)before blurting out something like that (much less the potential for additional loss of life), this person has a REAL problem.

(5,272 posts)republican news outlets today I'd be surprised, and those fuckers are ubiquitous. I've heard shit said like this even on these boards(not about this incident), and its the kind of dumb shit people say sometimes when they personify others as evil, and before they think it all the way through to what they are really suggesting or rejoicing in, and that's forgivable for a common citizen on a message board. To be a political operative and do this suggests he should retire.

(100,150 posts)And they're saying that we're all violent lunatics who laugh when something like this happens. And then they'll turn around and take out their hate against anyone who doesn't support Trump 100%. God, I hate these assholes.

(26,060 posts)We have to actually be better. Social media is going to ruin many careers but it will never be an excuse for a fuck up like this.

(100,150 posts)They are a tribal bunch. They post some extremely horrifying shit. If you want proof look at Hillary Clinton's Twitter feed. They post this crap and expect to be taken seriously. Someone from our side makes one tiny little joke, and they go apeshit. They can dish it out, but they sure can't take it.

(82,849 posts)Who does Tasini think he is, talking like that - a Republican? Because they're the only ones who can score political points by an appeal to deity in a tragic situation.

(26,060 posts)other OPs of mine that trash Bernie. We're in the middle of a war here and this clown has hurt the cause which places him firmly on my shit list. If you can't deal with that, that's entirely your problem.
