I'm not familiar with your system and it is not my field of competence, anyway.
But this is simply bullshit !!

(15,682 posts)This was intentionally leaked for public consumption. Hell, it was written for the purpose of leaking. Must have a steady diet of absolute bull shit. At least half the public will believe it, if not more.

(5,101 posts)In French, I could easily have explained what's wrong. In English, it's a bit trickier.
An American lawyer will do that much better than me.

(15,682 posts)I do hope some US lawyers hop on this thread and go into some detail.
I wish I could speak French. I envy you.

As it is in all Law, this is just the opinion of the Lawyers representing the Orange One. It offers the basis for discussions and others to offer their opinions.

(15,751 posts)trump in his need to 'dominate', etc., manages to find some of the worst possible people. Just as 'Dr. Ronny' was forced to issue the foolish physical examination results he did, they were not the result of poor medical training that got even height and weight wrong. All the bad roads lead back to . . . trump

Even if I had a gun on my temple, no one in the world could force me to make such a ridiculous fool of myself!
I dictate the rules for what concerns the technical aspects of the law, not the client. If he doesn't like it, he goes elsewhere. It's happened to me before.

(5,914 posts)Would ever work for the guy. No one would want their reputations tarnished by his orange shitstain, unless those reputations were already trashed to begin with.
Ass-kissing and total submission to his whims are all he cares about.

(3,363 posts)They're trying to argue that since trump is the head of DoJ, as the DoJ is under the Executive Branch, that he has ultimate authority to tell the DoJ what to do, including regarding investigations into him. Right-wing scholars call it the Unitary Executive.
But most scholars don't believe the Founders ever intended that, and Article II Clause 5, or the Take Care Clause, indicates that for trump to shut down investigations into him or his allies, would be a violation of faithfully executing his duties, therefore unConstitutional for him to do so.
