(15,751 posts)While I distrust all repubicons they do control the 3 branches of government. Fortunately they are not coordinated as a prez more competent than trump could coordinate. That being said, for several characters as odious as mcconnell, ryan, and Grassley to make noises and test the winds by speaking against tariffs, for the fbi work on Russia gate, etc. suggests something may be stirring in the back chambers of Congress. Nothing on high principle of course, in their own interest of course, but possibly useful for some trump curbs nevertheless. Then again, probably nothing much will come of it, but if we can keep our minds open, we might spot some opportunity.
