I’m so sad about his pain and his death. He had one enormous heart.

I know several people who committed suicide or overdosed because of heroin. These people knew there was a possibility of addiction or overdose but they just didn't give a fuck. People feel like life isn't worth living anymore. It's very sad and getting worse everyday

he just couldn't take the pain on top of lifelong depression. Very, very sad for him and his family.

He said he had been kicked out of school twice, and dropped out, and was having problems. One day he read Bourdain's book, and it helped him turn it around. He said he realized he could become a chef, and work when and where he wanted. He saw a path forward because of Anthony's book.
