I don't have a link. I was told by his daughter, Sue Sadlowski Garza, who is currently a member of Chicago's city council and a leader herself in the Chicago Teachers Union.
For those who may not be familiar with him, Ed Sadlowski took on the Steelworkers machine with the Steelworkers Fightback reform movement in the mid 1970s. Running for District Director of the Chicago region he had the election stolen from him by the Pittsburgh machine but the courts threw out the results. In the rerun he won in a landslide. Later he ran for International President. He won the most votes in the U.S. local unions but the International was able to steal the election in Canada which does not have labor union election laws to protect votes that the U.S. does.
He helped many people, including myself, in reforming the large steel worker local unions. I always regarded him as a working class hero. R.I.P., Ed.
