Maybe the NK peace gambit was a last-ditch effort of a desperate man?

Maybe Trump knew that Cohen was ready to flip, despite all his talk about pardons?

The North Korea summit was never meant to be anything more than a distraction. And that appears to be all that it was? There was nothing substantive to come out of it.

Perhaps the distractions have run their course? It is now time to face the music.

Mueller and Rosenstein appear to have become more obstinate in recent days. No more games.

Cohen is reportedly ready to "flip". Mueller is requesting dozens of subpoenas. Republicans are snapping at each other like hyenas.

Something could be up?

I don't think he's desperate at all. I think he's emboldened. CrispyQ Jun 2018 #2

As long as Trump's victory lap gets curtailed and another dose of cold reality splashes the swooning media commentators.

No one has stopped him or even slowed him down. He's shredding our alliances. He's taking a sledge hammer to our government institutions. He got the rich their precious tax cut & they're talking about a second round at the expense of uninsured children. He & his family are making a fortune off his presidency, while we're separating brown families at the souther border. The ACA is being decimated & being a woman is basically a pre-existing condition. He's nominating young, radical mostly white men to the judiciary & many are lifetime appointments. Almost nothing has been done about our election irregularities & there's evidence that Russia will meddle again this fall. Among recent GOP presidents, only Reagan was more popular with republicans. People think that can't happen here, but the man is drunk with power & the GOP Congress is doing his bidding. What if "they" come for him, whoever "they" is, & he refuses to leave? What if he gets a faction of the military to take up arms for him? Everyday he's in office the danger that he won't leave grows.
