I can't really wish anything worse on these assholes than to be the vile, miserable scum that they obviously are...that said, if and when we restore democracy and human decency in this country, or whatever comes after it, I think the people that have supported this travesty should be held accountable.

Much of the time, it's a faceless, historyless, fake profile with no posts, no friends, no nothing. I then circle back to the original thread and call out those posts. The first time I did it, I was nervous that I would be targeted by the troll behind the mask. It's never happened, though.

The other thing to do is test Facebook's new commitment to weeding out the trolls and the bots and report the offending profile.

I generally just avoid fb entirely, having always assumed it was basically just a massive data collection operation from the start...I guess the glut of Russian bots and "alt-right" trolls hasn't really improved the quality of discourse much over the past several years.

And it's also worth remembering that one of the main tactics in a luke-warm cyberwar or whatever it is we're in now is to foment discord amongst your enemies, so we shouldn't fall for that.

Nonetheless, I do think the scum who have supported this illegitimate and evil regime should be held to account.
