Something criminal, in a physical sense, will have to occur in these detention facilities to get Session's and trump's attention. A child or teen will get badly injured, severely traumatized, or killed while in custody. Only then will they consider making changes to this horrible policy of separating families. I wonder if a Lord of the Flies situation will develop in the teen boys camps.
Del Percio is a R strategist that appears on MJ periodically.

(16,126 posts)Even if 10 children die in custody, Trump will blame the Democrats and Sessions will pull something from the bible out of his ass!
But it won't make a damn difference!!!

(58,785 posts)it's unnecessary. It's sort of understandable for some to assume "others" are all completely evil these days, but imo it's unjust to those who are not and failing to recognize their existence...unwise.
This evil program will be closed down one way or another, sooner or by the electorate. It's even doomed to fail its main purpose because desperate parents will continue to bring their children here TO turn them over to the U.S. government. The difference will be that they'll know to say goodbye and explain what's happening before they cross the border.
Itm, want these children back with their parents quickest? Vote to turn congress over to Democrats and put a complete stop to it. November 6 is only 143 days away now.

(61,721 posts)But there is no transparency and I don't have the details to properly accuse caregivers directly of serious crimes. A police officer or doctor or shelter worker has to turn whistleblower.

(61,721 posts)question and train of thought. You are right - there may have been multiple rapes, even murder, that have been ignored, passed off as accidents, or people just "disappeared" before anyone else found out.
There are small towns in south Texas where people (not known to locals) just disappear from jail. Someone I knew decades ago was in a car accident that was suspicious and not well-investigated. Sheriffs and deputies have a lot of power in these remote places, and most people don't pay attention because they see them in church on Sunday if they aren't on duty.
