(34,142 posts)Maybe someday. I had only seen a few and loved them and had counted on watching them all at some point. He seemed like such a great guy and so smart and talented. Even without having been a big fan this has just crushed me. Maybe I am just getting to be that age where emotions run a more shallow track. May he rest forever in a place full of love and wonder, what he brought to us.

(131,457 posts)I'm glad I don't feel that way, as I enjoy him a lot, and his shows have been a big part of my entertainment.
Yes, May he rest forever in a place full of love and wonder, what he brought to us.

(34,142 posts)I just did not prioritize his show as I probably should have. I have rehearsals on the night his show was on CNN and just did not bother to record it thinking, as we all tend to, that he would be forever there.
I just did not want anyone to think I did not appreciate his show.

(24,804 posts)the other day and there was a guy who looked just like him. Body build, hair and all!
He said people tell him that regularly, and he was stricken by Bourdains death.

(51,675 posts)It is amazing how many people are devastated over this (I am one of them). I sure hope that nasty ex-girlfriend doesn't get invited to any funeral service. She pushed him over the edge by cheating on him. He died of a broken heart.

(24,804 posts)Anyway, I don't think it is ever anyone's "fault", when a loved one takes their own life.
Its a great mystery, with no blame, in my view.
Though I've seen the dark side myself, and it was all a mix of unyielding hopelessness, dread, loneliness and anxiety. There but for fate, go I. .
