But in the arena of separating families, we sure did much more a hundred and more years earlier. Until 1865, when we ended slavery, families lived under constant threat of separation. It was a common practice.

Since we have legitimized the worst of American hate, bigotry, xenophobia, nationalism, fascism, and capitalism with the election of Trump, it's no surprise to see us separating families again.

These destructive minorities only get control when majorities of better people fail to do their job.

Maybe less of this demoralizing "America!" crap, McCoy, as if we own humanity's sin, and more VOTE TO SAVE OUR DEMOCRACY!?

We are the very same people who elected a black president twice. We need to remember that.
