Replying to @SpeakerRyan
My heart goes out to Liza, Charlie and Sam as they deal someday with their fathers legacy of empowering a sociopath who destroyed our democracy; who remained silent as children were ripped from their mothers arms; who tolerated corruption when he had the power to stop it.

My life changed the day I became a father. Liza, Charlie, and Sam are my highest priority. Wishing all of the dads out there a happy early #FathersDay

I wish Chuck Todd had reminded Kelly Ann of that yesterday when she claimed she was a compassionate Catholic

(7,725 posts)there was a congressional caucus somewhere up in like W Virgina where all these freaks go on our dime. At that GOP only meeting he's heard telling everyone they have to 'stick together like family" and that "this is our business and can never get out'. Back when the tape came out it didn't make sense. None of the ruskie stuff had been investigated. But, it was definitely on tv. I wasn't hallucinating it. that day on the news it played a few times. It was someones phone and the point of view was an antechamber off to ryans left. It exists. It will burn down the gop if it turns out he was talking about the ruskies and the NRA money. I hope Count Ryan and that stupid widows peak....rues the day.

(15,739 posts)became your top priority. If you wanted you family to be your highest priority you should have stayed a private citizen. Private citizens have a right to place family over the publics need. Not you.

(30,613 posts)He just doesn't get it yet. He is placing them under the yoke of tyranny; he doesn't give a crap about any kids, including his own. As long as he has plenty of Roubles for his own retirement, who gives a shit if everybody's kids face death from starvation, nuclear war, or lead poisoning down the road?

(13,925 posts)He just doesnt care.
Lead poisoning is for poor folks. His kids will be the elite, why would he need to worry about that?
Starvation is for those without influence. Again, Elite, Not their concern.
Nuclear war? There are bunkers for the rich. And even if there werent.. There are a nice hunk of folks rooting for the end of the world. They think they will be the elite in the afterlife.

(5,083 posts)Other than a few priests and pastors blasting this administration's child abuse in separating children from their parents, I have not heard a peep from the Vatican. Given that Ryan calls himself a Catholic, I would have thought the Pope would have said something. Have I missed something?

(8,200 posts)I am no fan of any religion, in fact, I believe religious doctrines are the one of the primary sources of the madness that grips mankind in lunacy. Pope Francis has been very outspoken in his condemnation of the greed of the Republicans and their trickle down crap.

(5,083 posts)But I have yet to hear him say anything since these abuses started last month. I makes me wonder.

But, I didn't find a specific statement by the Pope yet. I'm no longer a religious person, but watch the churches with interest.

(5,083 posts)Good article. I am not religious either, but I am hoping the Pope will use his influence in some manner to bring more international attention to this atrocity.

And,to top it off gave credit that it was his Prayers that saved him. I would think Gad gave him another chance to repent.
