Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsWore my "IMPEACH TRUMP" tee shirt shopping today, as I usually do.
I was minding my own business when a couple about my age approached and he pointed at my shirt and said "Impeach Trump? What an idiot!"
ME: He sure is! Just one of the reasons he should be impeached.
HIM: No---YOU'RE an idiot!
ME: ( as I stepped closer) But Trump is a lying asshole. Why are you changing the subject?
He fled the scene as his wife scurried to catch up.

(28,824 posts)i wear political shirts a lot and so far, nothing but good feedback. though in Phoenix last week wearing my circa 2008 Obama shirt, I felt as if people were snickering. the waitress who told me she loved my shirt said let them laugh.
i just know i wouldn't be that on-the-spot the way you were. kudos

(15,124 posts)is simply an obviously hateful glare---clearly intended to intimidate. I usually just stop, face them and stare right back with my best "What in hell is YOUR problem?" look. That's all that was necessary for 99% of the "patriots" offended by my shirts.(I have another that reads "Not My President!" )
As for the remaining 1%---they were "dealt with".

(16,396 posts)Dozens of people have asked me what it means and so far only one person has been ugly about it. They usually either agree or just kind of nod their head, like "now I get it" and then move on. Several have asked me how to order one. I wear it a lot because it's pink and I like pink and, of course, the message.

Sadly, the op seems unaware that his t-shirt bothers them not at all; they are laughing at us when they see we are unhappy.

(347 posts)The rear end of my F250 is decorated with bumper stickers and decals: Vietnam Veteran; US Army (Retired); Ranger; Airborne; Special Forces; Proud Democrat; Elect a Clown Expect a Circus; Remington; Armed Liberal.
I live in a rural VA county that is overwhelmingly Republican. I take a lot of shit from assholes at the hardware store, grocery, dump site -- just about anywhere I go. I have been threatened with firearms, cursed at, spit at. Fuck 'em.
Just to make certain the message gets across, I added this decal to my rear window:
Of course, I've also added a .45 under the front seat . . . you know, just to be safe.
