Republicans pray on Sunday.
Then, during the rest of the week, they prey on children and families through their tremendously indefensible and brutal policies.
It seems as if inflicting emotional and physical damage is part of their platform.

(23,994 posts)just lay it out there, and let them run around refuting it:
INFLICTING EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL DAMAGE IS PART OF THEIR PLATFORM
Republicans do not hesitate to lie about Democratic policies at every turn, so let's have that debate instead for once in my life. let them explain at length to the public at large how the above statement about their platform is incorrect, then we can move on from there.
by the way, saying "it's part of their platform" does NOT imply that it is a clearly enunciated part of their platform, it may simply be an unspoken consequence of one or more policies within said platform.
This is a very strong statement. Picking out one clause to criticize it seems, well, nit picky, particularly considering our current situation.

(23,994 posts)but then by sentence 3 we're back to the wiffle bat. shit, just SAY IT -- she just called them out as hypocritical predators, why do we need the "it seems as if" clause at all? force of habit? fear of retaliation?
as you say, it's nit-picky, but that damn nit has been bugging me for years.

(23,994 posts)since you asked. in fact the more i consider it, the more i like it.
i think a sit-in by the minority leader would get significant coverage and help make a much-needed point.
so good idea there, whatever its original intentions were.

(32,640 posts)it was credited to a Senator who showed up later for a photo op.
And if Pelosi did that, the mocking she would get would make the shiving of Kamala Harris look tame by comparison.
amirite?
And if they are so effective, why aren't progressive Senators organizing some sit-ins of their own?
Bad knees? Busy schedule?

They can't condemn her spot on message, so the attacks on this brilliant wise woman become nit picking.
That says she did her job quite well!
Thank you Rep Pelosi!!
Trumpians hate it when she reveals the truth.
Maybe they'll attack the sound of her voice or her shoes or her hair...
They are predictable in their sputtering attempt to hide her sound message with petty insults.
Its who they are.
Waiting for the strongly worded condemnations ....

(43,511 posts)We've got them on moral and hypocritical grounds. The country is in an uproar, and how could they escape from this policy? The blame Democrats strategy has been shredded - several Republican Senators have said today that Trump can fix this instantly, no legislation needed. But he won't fix it, he's on a roll, trashing everything in his path this afternoon. Hubris bonds with Karma and it will be a beautiful thing to watch.

(32,640 posts)to counteract legislation that doesn't exist.
Trump created this situation, outside of legislation, and is trying to say that it's "Democratic legislation" that caused this.
Why the hell should Democrats be bowing to his demands by going along with it?
You aren't "criticizing" you are bashing.
And you would be bashing her if she did, wouldn't you?

(32,640 posts)And perhaps you aren't clear on the legislative process, when you say that "every Democrat needs to be introducing legislation."
And of course anything she does will "lack spine," won't it.
Your "concern" about Democratic leaders is duly noted.

part of their platform is to inflict as much damage to "LIBTARDS" as possible...they have publicly stated that the more "liberal tears" they can invoke the more they like it...all based on the assumption (erroneous I hope) that they will win every election and remain in power because ....America hates Liberals?????
