General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsHave you ever been more motivated to vote in a midterm than this year?
I am so motivated I intend to vote on the first day of early voting to ensure if something happens like I get into a car accident before election day I will have already voted. Last election was the record for me and this election has beaten it. I would bet my life savings I will be voting straight Dem this fall.

https://registertovote.ca.gov/
Im printing the link on business cards and going to pass them out to get people registered to vote.
I know its not easy in many states but we can all do our thing and pass out voter registration information in each state we reside.

(58,785 posts)checked that choice once, but here in my Georgia glowing-red district there's not always a meaningful candidate to choose for, sometimes not even a token Democrat to token-vote for.
This year, yes: two energetic Democratic candidates, got to have a favorite and even received robocalls from both campaigns!

(73,709 posts)I think I's qualify as "other." I'm always motivated to vote. But I do recognize this mid-term as the most important of my lifetime, and thus am highly motivated to get others to vote.
Good poll.

(37,166 posts)If one is the most motivated one has ever been, ever ever, to vote, then the answer to "Have you ever been more motivated to vote in a midterm than this year?" is "No" (or "Fucking NO!!!", I would think).
From your actual poll choices, however, the answers correlate to a question of "How motivated are you to vote in the midterms?"
It's not the same question.

(37,166 posts)One person gave an answer to the question that was actually posed, and other people are questioning why that responder is here on DU? One even pointed out that the username could be identified. For what purpose?
All I'm pointing out is that proofreading matters. Be sure you're saying what you intend to say, don't make people have to try read your mind. They don't always end up in the place you intend.
