Why the Trump Admin is allowing this story to stay front and center.

Some speculate that Trump and other Republicans must be allowing family separation to remain front and center because they are up to something even worse. The oft-mentioned distraction gambit.

First of all, the Trump regime is a 24/7 house of horrors. There can be no distraction from that.

Secondly, all Republicans can really do at this point (excluding the option of becoming humane, decent people) is fire up their base, employ voter suppression tactics, rely on heavily gerrymandered districts, rely on an irresponsible infotainment industry, rely on pathetic voter turnout, and rely on the re-election rate of incumbents (over 80% for the Senate, over 90% for the House). After all, that's been working pretty darn well for them. They just hope to minimize the damage.

Lastly, they will put forth legislation filled with anti-immigrant policy measures. If Democrats oppose it, Republicans - with help from the media - will push the narrative that Democrats don't really care about family separation, that Democrats are politicizing this issue for personal gain. Bank on it.

The Republican base loves what is happening. Keeping them fired up is Trump's only real option from a purely political standpoint.

The whole "this is another distraction" thing is not helpful, and it's rather tiresome.

9. Yeah, not a distraction; this is a perfect example of the fundamental problem.

This is what happens when evil people are allowed to rule. If this is what it takes to clean out the RePutin filth, then this is what it takes. Some people would not be persuaded by anything short of crimes against humanity. Well, here are the crimes against humanity. Time to drop the denial and do something to fix this.

and it will be uglier and criminal compared to what's in the press now. There's likely child abuse ect... on a massive scale.

It's a slow trickle now, but the ugly is likely only beginning.
