Democrats need to pay attention to this data... We might understand why some white democrats voted Republican, and why many white men in general vote Republican and why so many women gave their votes to Republicans. It might tell us why some tossed their votes in areas they know would not count for Democratic Ideals to be the lead force in having a Democratic Leadership Administration? People have to come to terms with what drives many dispositions. If we are to gain the traction and regain the Administration, people have to become full circle for Equality.. and know what drives some to fade when elements of Equality influences and drives votes in the Right Wing Direction. One of the reasons for this opposition, according to the report, is white Americans' perceptions that they might be losing their financial and social status while people of color make gains in those areas.
These researchers Robb Willer, a professor of sociology at Stanford University, and Rachel Wetts, a doctoral candidate in sociology at the University of California, Berkeley have conducted other studies that linked racial bias and the Tea Party movement.
I've continually addressed the inquiry as to why so many white democrats avoid subjects about Equality, and Race, and its something they really need to think about, when supporting the platform, because a core element of the platform is about Equality... Racially, Gender and Other categories of Equality. But to avoid it, to be silent and to try and skirt it as if it does not involve you... is a big mistake..
Its part why Republican continue to say, Democrats speak about racism, but don't actually speak up about it in express the details of what their real thoughts are. It takes Public Narrative to support the claim of support for Equality, It takes Public Narrative to stand up and speak out against Racism and it has to be done with details about what one is speaking out about.
This article goes on to state:
Despite those perceptions, other research has found that white people are the biggest beneficiaries of the government safety net. According to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, white people made up the the largest share at 52 percent of people lifted from poverty by safety-net programs, while black people made up less than a quarter of that share. When it comes to receiving Medicaid, white people make up about 43 percent of recipients, Hispanics about 30 percent, African-Americans 18 percent, with 9 percent identified as other, according to Wetts.
So is it just that their "racial resentment" overtakes the ability for them to see that, you know, people of their demographic or their racial group also benefit greatly?

Alt-righters in the sample arent all that concerned about the economy.
alt-righters were much more concerned that their groups were at a disadvantage The alt-right (and white nationalists) is afraid of being displaced by increasing numbers of immigrants and outsiders in this country. And, yes, they see themselves as potential victims.
The Alt Right people are willing to create and promote narrative to strengthen their numbers....
Once we understand the psychological motivations behind the alt-right worldview, maybe we can learn to stop it.
we as Democrats need to learn the value of creating narrative to counter their self centered white first and white only mentality.

(870 posts)they don't rec it .... to keep it alive so other can read it. That may bring us to inquire....and we need that inquiry to truely uinderstand our composition and our strength as democrats.
We see articles about drama spins, that gains high number of rec's... but anything that helps us learn more is generally ignored and even given less rec's which means it won't be read by those who need to read it and it gets buried in the pile...
We should ask why? We need to become strong and we need to know what our strength truly is... We can't have any high numbers fading at the polls. and we need to grow our numbers tremendously, because the volume of votes we did not get, should tell us, that we have to work hard, but we have to be PROACTIVELY devoted to the cause, and that includes spreading information... that means supporting commentary that informs us, opens up our thinking and addresses things that have been played low on the concern level.
I continue try to impress upon people the need for narrative, the need to support and communicate about equality and communicate about racism and communicate about these things, because they are elements of the Democratic Platform, and need to be promoted BY THE PEOPLE IN GENERAL.
Why there is such lackluster for concern of such vital elements is a bewildering factor, especially when as Democrats that is part of our platform and more so... it is issues we see everyday of the rising racism in the general public, including this racist madness that drives the separation of kids from their parents. But still there is far too much silence... and far not enough interactive support to spread information... that can bring some thoughts to expand on the subjects of equality and racism...
We need to figure out why? and we need to figure it out before November.... Democrats need the unified force and power and the cohesion in understanding and commonest of agreement on the value and necessity for Equality in All Things for All People.
