The loudest ones are that way because it's worked before when they've been cornered.
The winner of a fight is the one who's not afraid and is ready to rumble, the mouthy ones usually aren't, that's why they make lots of noise, they think the louder they are the scarier they are.
Then they run into someone who isn't afraid to stand their ground, an actual scrapper, the fight is won by the prepared.
Once you've been in a few fights you know this, dumpf has never even taken out the garbage by himself, his "fixer" took care of his problems.
He's never had to do the job himself, a person in his shape, age and experience wouldn't last more than two seconds against his equal that's actually been there and done that.
