Predictions that are made so that most people hearing them will be dead is not "soon". Make a prediction that you can be held to.

That is not my prediction, talk to them about it. No doubt they could have pointed to less extreme flooding at an earlier date, but they chose 2060.

They chose 2060 because they know no one will ever call them on it in their career. Let's have a prediction -- a solid one -- for five years from now.

The time frame is always far beyond when anyone is alive that is hearing the prediction. Not the way actual science works.

The fact that this is a longer term trend has nothing to do with the validity of the science. You almost sound like Senator Inhoffe with the snowball.

Maybe we should have an actual scientist make the prediction. In a peer reviewed science journal. Not a internet publication looking for sensational click baits. Written by someone who probably never took a science course after freshman high school.

When we get a king tide Miami and Ft Laud areas by the ocean get flooded streets. I'm a whopping 9' above sea level and in 50 to 75 years my house will be under water..
I think I'll sell now and beat the rush..
The USGS has flood projection maps that insurance companies use... Not a good picture..

and have been watching your city flood from afar. I'm 52 ft above the gulf and bay which leaves me in pretty good shape for a short time.

My thoughts are to sell now and get the hell outa this state. I'll make a fair profit and I won't have to put up with the repukes that move here.

I've noticed a whole lot of Texas/Colorado/California license plates and I don't think those folks are here for vacation but trying to avoid hurricanes, fires, and the rest of the crap elsewhere.

But where to go is the big "?"

Same question here. The price of my house just keeps going up... I was thinking Dunedin as I have friends there and I like the town.. SR19 and Main are well above the gulf. Rent?
I don't like the cold but the heat is getting to me also.. I'd love to be a snow bird and I'm "working" on my yankee friends to work out a deal..

I lived next door in AZ for many years. NM is a beautiful state. If you get up in the mountains like Santa Fe you don't have the summer heat. Not alot of jobs there but it would be nice to retire to.
