Re alleged "King of Netherlands" tweet -- it's from a parody account

I've been trying to explain this in that thread, but haven't yet been able to get the attention of the person who posted that OP.

See the replies I posted there:

Especially that second one, which links to and quotes the website of the Royal House of the Netherlands, explaining there is only one official Twitter account for the Royal House, and the individual members of the royal family do not have Twitter accounts:

https://www.royal-house.nl/topics/royal-house/question-and-answer/what-is-the-official-twitter-account-of-the-royal-house

What is the official Twitter account of the Royal House?

The Twitter account @koninklijkhuis is the official channel of the Royal House.

The account has had verified status since January 2012, which shows users that it is authentic. The Royal House does not maintain individual accounts. This means that any account claiming to belong to King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima or Princess Beatrix is not authentic.

The editorial team behind @koninklijkhuis is led by the Government Information Service (RVD), though from time to time the King, Queen or Princess may use the account to send out a personal tweet. In that case the text will be in quotation marks, and will be a direct quote from the person concerned.

Emphasis added.

Btw, it WOULD have been nice if the account had been authentic.

But since it wasn't, there's no point in people getting excited about it, let alone tweeting the DU topic that takes it seriously.

because it just spreads too much stuff that becomes a part of the narrative.

Translate to check it, then searched Google for official sites. Took a while.

Honestly, I can't blame people for getting excited if it WAS an official account. It was such great trolling of Trump. But it was just parody.

And FWIW, I was fooled by a different parody account on Twitter some time back, and fortunately was corrected by another DUer then.

But it'd be nice to be able to alert on a thread and mark it as Satire in some form so that it would show from the list page so that people would know. I have no problems with satire but the line has blurred so much that it's become a problem.
