After all the years of struggle, the lives lost, and the election of our first African American president, it boggles the mind that all it took was Trump to make prejudice acceptable to his "followers" again.

They wholeheartedly hate Obama just because he is black, despite the incredibly nice human being he is, and the outstanding job he did, from wich they benefit.

They'd rather praise a scumbag who's destroying their lives and their country, who is stupid, ignorant, rude, just because he is white !

I'm not a kid, but growing up I lived in a fairly diverse community and never heard anyone - not my parents or my grandmother or my teachers - say anything prejudicial about anyone's skin color or religion or where they came from so it never dawned on me that anyone was unacceptably "different." My Sunday School teacher was black and was friends with my mother and my best friend's mother came from Japan. My own grandmother came from Poland, so I figured that everyone had something a little different.

We hear that the next generation is less prejudiced than the previous one and that's only a good thing. But in the meantime this is something that we need to fight with everything we've got. We need to move forward and rejoin the global community - and regain the progress we made which includes electing Barack Obama who still remains the smartest - and most capable - guy in any room.

The Obamas wanted us all to be our best. The deplorables see that as a personal attack! They don't want a better life, they want someone else to suffer their wrath!

Some people are just really miserable and have awful lives. Instead of wanting others to have a better future then them, they have a “burn it down” mentality that if they can’t be happy, they want everyone else to be as miserable as them.
