Social Media seems more chaotic than normal?

Has anyone else noticed their twitter and Facebook feeds being inundated with dumb ass trump supporter posts?
Endless sharing of ridiculous fox news posts, etc? Or is it just my page? I feel like this negative news cycle has them all scrambling like crazy red ants.

I noticed it on Tuesday morning and it's only increased since then.
I've actually found joy in replying in one or two word comments, "BS" "snowflakes" "weird perspective" ... then 4 or five of them will pile on and say insulting things which I ignore. ha.

They are pissed about the Times cover, pissed about Sara getting kicked out of a restaurant, pissed about normal people being fed up with trump.....

I would be shocked if Putin’s people aren’t supporting OrangeTurd on line.

And the RWNJ club is going to start defending as well

Trump and the Republicans are in campaign mode. Too many on the left fail to realize that anger about immigrants HELPS get Republican voters involved. Trump is doing this on purpose.

Meanwhile we get nothing but idiotic comments on MSNBC about how this hurts the Republicans. Yes, it hurts the perception of the Republican party, but it helps motivate Republicans to vote.

And how many dems won't even bother to vote because they've been told for a year about the "blue wave"?

I won't do social media. however, I have seen the behavior you describe going on here. Unfortunately. Not too often, but seemingly from the same quarters.

is that once someones said some gratuitously ugly thing, you can/have to block them, but, the people who do this don't just have one account I'm guessing. They then come at you from a different quarter under another name. By then, you may or may not have internalized the ugliness that someone has thrown at you and if they can keep throwing handfuls of shit to provoke you...either...you'll return fire and then that persons "group" piles on. Then you feel worse. You can't unhear stuff SOMETIMES. But, I come from a day and age where it wasn't necessary to expose yourself online and compare and contrast your Face/life to others who...more often than not, aren't being quite honest themselves. That forces you to up your game to be better or wittier than the grenade launcher. Often at unrealistic levels bc they lied to begin with.
This site is for Democrat dialog from my decade long experience just reading it. Somehow, the folks who have it out for you will say anything to each other...without consequence. But should you say something THEY feel they can kick you in the ass with, they do. It's important to have accurate facts. It's important too to have good reasoning for your opinion posts. However, nobody is perfect. If 'the game' online is to bait and attack those that aren't perfect (in others eyes) how are we even any better than the gop? And further, are some of those folks the very trolls we all despise ourselves...but have sat in front of the computer endless days to build up a post count...like hit points in Dungeons and Dragons to somehow give themselves credibility in number of posts? Who knows and who cares, but, be aware of it bc the internet is SUPPOSED to make our lives better, not create more anxiety. Just an observation.
You can block here and block there, but the root of it is...Is it all so important enough to hear the poison to have the benefit we seek through social media or being here sometimes? i don't know. that's for each to decide.
I dodged out of social media early on. I'm glad i did. Not big on social comparisons and happiness one ups manship.
(spell check doesn't seem to be working today...and I haven't had my readers for a few days.) A little leeway on the spelling please. Have a nice weekend Razzie.

good things to think about. I have to admit I let the internet give me some anxiety last week... and miss some time on the treadmill when I was traveling and missed the gym. Adding that up, the internet was a fail for me, I need to work on better balance next week... or give it up... Thanks again for your thoughts.

Usually, it's one or two lines out of a news article. Without the entire news article or at least the link, you are unable to pick them apart. Or they post a screen grab of a democrat/liberal without context.

they will all jump on a word or phrase that you used as a "double standard" etc... I probably need to walk away from it for a while.... BUT on the other hand there have been SO many incredibly creative and funny anti-trump posts in the last few days! I just say a gif of the Times cover where the little girl jumps off the ground and kicks Trump in the nads.

seem to be more and more abundant hee as well. W the end point being small to a 5 minute fox news clip that delivers more of an ancillary message that often we choose not to hear even on our own tvs. Not sure why that seems to be happening. Noticeable though.Just my thoughts.

They stuff an OK GOP political ad between every post from my news feed. I trolled them for awhile, but even that loses its luster when there are dozens a day and you realize it's inevitable the state will stay BLOOD red.

I suspect a lot may be bots trying to get followers. So be on the lookout for bots posing as resisters.
