Let's see, a Trump rally in Charlottesville had participants chanting about "blood and soil." Hear any echoes from long ago there, sarahdougie? How about when they killed a woman who disagreed with them? When both Peter Navarro and Larry Kudlow said that Trump suffered a "stab in the back" at the G-7 conference? Did your ears perk up then? Or would it have alarmed you to hear it in the original German: Dolchstoßlegenden.

Does the demonization of outsiders like immigrants give you cause for pause? Or are you okay with the rabid dehumanization of political opponents by the Trump administration? Trump repeatedly characterizes the independent media as the enemy of the people. I'd bet that would sound familiar to your grandparents, since it hasn't made an impression on you.

And grew up very controlled. That's why there is little to nothing about about friends and all the other non political things young people are into.

17. Her grandparents were gassed at auschwitz, but they got better I guess

I guess it's possible, they were killed at auschwitz, but their children, born in 1944, survived and eventually became her parents around 1997. She's about 21 now, here parents would have been at least 53 when she was born.

It's also possible that that's her fathers side and her mother could have been much younger.

My mother was smuggled out through Nazi germany as a baby, but I'm 54 years old now. I'm trying to imagine somehow having a sister her age!
