So now... we are fairly well pissed off.

We got pretty pissed off in the 60's and a took a step forward. Thank God.
A lot of steps backward since then.

But we are fairly well pissed off now. I hope I live long enough to see the police going to jail for their crimes against the black community. I hope I see the walls come down and the detention centers closed and immigrants to this country welcomed with a modern version of Ellis Island instead.

I hope I see every single fucking one of you racist goddamn bastards pushed forever out of the public arena.

For a long time I didn't dare to dream - the steps forward were pretty small even before the Racist in Chief took the stage. But there are enough of us pissed off now that I think it will eventually happen.

which alas also makes it easier for our opponents to know what's up, but massively good for us anyway.

I don't think I've ever seen anything like that. I would have to go to the city..and that is where I signed up, but I checked again and there are protests right here! There is an hour long 1 at 10 am...then one at 11:30 and then another one in Huntington that I may hit after that.

They want a war...they got it...here is the thing though..WE SHOW THE FUCK UP.

I'm physically unable to participate myself, so I'm always thrilled to hear about turnout for these things. Thanks!!

We don't have to wait for the 6:00 news or the morning paper. We can plan to convene for protests, etc. in a matter of minutes. Social media and sites such a DU greatly help our spread of relevant info.

Haha. Actually I almost never swear. Shooting unarmed children had my goat up fairly high already. I've been out in the streets and wearing out the politicians over it....But this with yanking babies from the arms of their mothers just calls for the worst kind of swear words.
